Super top restaurant with a beautiful view of the lake

We were there spontaneously to eat while passing through. We noticed that if you don't belong to the obvious “chic-micky society”, you feel it. The service was very abrupt, unfriendly and made us wait a long time. There is no menu or drinks menu or they are not served with the note that there is only a day menu. However, the location and the food are very good. We were pleasantly surprised with the bill for two pizzas and two non-alcoholic drinks.

I can only agree with some of the previous opinions. No drinks menu, put together pizza as desired. Appetizer was delicious, pizza so middle class. One is served a bit arrogantly if one does not belong to the Schicki-Micki society and orders wine in bottles or the like. The shandy was by no means tasty. After this was empty, the staff saw the glass several times. For over an hour none of them managed to ask if I should have another drink. Arrogance usually comes before the fall ... The wrong character is noticeable when "better customers" are served in the most friendly manner & others along the way .....

The negative reviews are in no way understandable and make us quite angry. We already had the idea that the competition would publish fake reviews. To claim that if you like it here you have never eaten well is a bottomless cheek and an insult to our star-spoiled taste buds. We have been eating again and again in this great restaurant in an opulent location for 6 years and have never been disappointed, even my husband's complicated wishes were wonderfully implemented. The staff is friendly and courteous and if there is not so many staff available in these difficult Corona times and you have to wait 5 minutes for the drinks, that's perfectly fine. Strolling through Rottach Egern with open eyes and seeing how many shops are closed has frightened us. All in all, we hope that the Carrera will survive and that it will keep us with its delicacies.

Very tasty food especially the pizza and dessert are highly recommended. The view of the lake is beautiful and the staff was quick and super nice :) I would definitely come back again!

This restaurant can only hold up because of its location on the lake and the beautiful view. No menu, no prices for drinks. The surprise comes with the bill. Absolutely overpriced drinks. The staff should at least get a briefing in gastronomy, if they are not specialists. The drinks were served to us with all the fingers of the waiter on the edge of the drink. A NoGO in normal times! especially in times of corona !!!! and then rude. Never again!!!

Absolutely no service, worst we've ever experienced. , After three quarters of an hour u. After asking twice, the meal came without the starters. The meat was bloody, although it was ordered “medium”, the desert was delivered to the next table, there it was refused, so the waiter went back into the house with it, even though we indicated that it was for us. After another 15 to 20 minutes he reacted to our waving, my wife explained that the desert was for us, he replied he had brought it back to the kitchen and returned. Ate it myself. No apology. The ordered 2 espressos didn't come even after half an hour of waiting. We called a second waiter, explained the situation, also no apology. It was all very annoying. Definitely don't go, the restaurant is a nightmare!

I haven't eaten anything like this in a long time. The food was really enjoyable! The terrace is huge and invites you to enjoy a wonderful wine. The staff was also very courteous and friendly. I can fully recommend this restaurant! Thank you so much!

Food was good, the strawberries at dessert unfortunately still frozen. On my complaint I was told by the waiter that the strawberries were not frozen .. he came back and said that the refrigerator was set too cold ... Unfortunately, there is no friendliness here, Too bad!

The food was top notch! The service was also great and what I liked best is the fantastic view of the Tegernsee with a beef fillet which was perfectly fried. This restaurant has a good hygiene concept, which is a big plus during Corona. I can only recommend!

Terrible food, waiters themselves didn't even know what they were serving, it couldn't be defined by the waiter or us whether the fish was dry tuna or badly prepared salmon. In my opinion, just sell cheap products for impossible prices! Cheek! Quality does not correspond to taste by a long way and you would rather eat a 6 day old cheeseburger at McDonalds. A shame for the location and the ambience around it! Long waiting time for food: three other guests came to the restaurant half an hour after us and got their food in front of us while we waited an hour for our food. Card payment only possible from € 25 and the service was very inattentive and unfriendly to us! Anyone who says the food is good here clearly doesn't know any good food! Unfortunately there are no zero stars for the rating.

Unfriendly service ... we ate pizza and spaghetti with chanterelles! I have never eaten this bad! Definitely I won't eat there anymore! I'm not even talking about the price !!

Mega unfriendly service. If you wanted to drink wine, the waiter suggested the most expensive wine to us without having to look at the wine list. We only received the wine list when requested. Once and never again.

unfortunately bad experiences, as some others have also written here. I can't say much about the food, since we couldn't order the main dishes after drinks and starters. The waiter said he had no time for us now. After complaining to the boss, there was at least an apology from the boss. For this I give the star, otherwise zero points.

The taste and texture of the pizza is unbeatable. The view of Lake Tegernsee is just as beautiful.

Worst thing I've ever eaten. Tasteless even though I had eaten one of the expensive dishes. Absolutely not to be recommended. Service extremely chaotic, even when the neighboring tables served wrong food. Anyone who thinks it tasted good doesn't know good food. Ambience or the view is fantastic.
